Communication is the key to any high-functioning District.

We are fortunate to have professional journalist, Linda May, assembling our District newsletter every month.  She does a great job!

Linda is an Honorary Member of the Mount Clemens Rotary Club.  She has received a Paul Harris Award from the club and and she typesets their newsletter every month.

Ms. May writes the the Service Circuit column for The Macomb Daily.  She covers the various service organizations in the community including the veterans units in Macomb County every week.  Linda says she gets to write "all good news about good folks."  How cool is that?

Her husband Larry is a retired credit union accounting manager and Vietnam veteran (U.S. Navy Security Group.)  They have a daughter Kelly is a nurse.  The family has a rescue cat named Ivy and a live-wire corgi named Charlie.

The Mays live in Clinton Township in 100-year-old house surrounded by plants that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Linda sings a cappella with Sweet Adelines (38+ years) and with Motor City Blend chorus.

Sounds like an ideal life, doesn't it?

Rotarians will take special interest in knowing that our newsletter editor, Linda May has post-polio syndrome.  She contracted polio when she was four years old.

Earlier, it was noted that Linda "assembles" our District newsletter--she doesn't write it.

That's because Rotarians are asked to submit finished articles for our monthly newsletter.

Please write short pieces about your Rotarians and various club events and include clear, high-resolution photos when you can.

Send your content to Linda at LindaMay@ameritech.net.  Save her email in your phone so you can send something to her every month or so.
