How does Twitter work for rotary6380?

First, many organization and individuals publish notes (tweet) on a regular basis on a particular subject. Rotary6380 “follows” them and reads these notes. If rotary6380 believes the notes might be of interest to Rotary 6380 members, we retweet them to our rotary6380 Twitter account.
Now if you “follow” Rotary6380 on Twitter, you will see those notes. Remember these notes have been filtered from the thousands of notes written by organizations and individuals on subjects that we believe you will be interested in.
 
 
 

Who do we “follow”?


Examples are: World Health Organization. United Nations, End Polio Now, Bill Gates, Oxfam International, The Rotarian, Rotary International, A vision For Clean Water, UNICEF, our own local youth organizations, Oxfam America, John Hewko, Rotary District 6380 (yes we write our own tweets which others retweet), Chatham Rotary Club, Unicef Iraq, Michael Angelo Caruso, Ann Arbor Rotary, RLI Great lakes, Melinda Gates, World Food Praogramme, Gates Foundation, Troy Rotary Club, Rotary in Lebanon, many 6380 members… In fact we follow over 100 Twitter accounts, which constantly changes. (Suggestions as to whom to “follow” are welcome.)
These and many more have Twitter accounts and tweet regularly.
We don’t retweet every tweet from everyone we follow, only those we find could be of particular interest at this point in time to our District members. Essentially a gathering place for news on subjects dear to our heart as Rotarian members of district 6380.

How do I follow rotary6380?
 

If you already have a Twitter account, click Follow and you are good to go.
Don’t have a Twitter account, click Sign Up and join the Twitter community, then indicate you want to Follow Rotary District 6380.
FYI: You can read the posts in any Twitter account without joining Twitter. Just visit the account occasionally and catch up on the posts.
