Governor "WooWoo's" Message
"Let’s come together during Basic Education and Literacy Month to improve education for all children and literacy for both children and adults"
September is Basic Education and Literacy Month with September 8 recognized as International Literacy Day.  One of Rotary’s seven areas of focus, supporting education is essential for reducing poverty, improving health, encouraging community/economic development and promoting peace.  How does your club help improve education and literacy for all?
Whew, I don’t know about you but for me, the last two months seem to have flown by.  My Official Governor visits are in full force so I’m having an absolute blast attending your meets and getting to see old friends while making new ones.  It is disappointing that I’m still unable to visit our Canadian Rotarians, but fingers crossed, that later this month or the next, the meeting restrictions in Canada will lessen.  I am excited to be presenting Club Presidents with their Presidential District certificates and clubs with their official District Club Banner and new District 6380 brochures.  One of my goals this year is to equip all clubs with marketing tools that will make an impact in your community.  Please use these items to help spread the word about our amazing service organization, Rotary.  By doing good things in our communities and beyond, we can Change Lives, Change Others and Change Ourselves.
Remember to share your club’s events, stories and pictures of your NEW banner on our Facebook page, Rotary Facebook Group, in addition to submitting your success stories for publication on our website,  It's a great way to stay connected and keep our communication channels open to all!

Finally, I must say that I feel honored to lead this district during this pivotal year.  Together we can reignite and strengthen our clubs and our purpose.  As your CEEO “Chief Encouragement and Excitement Officer,” let me know how I, along with the District team, can support you.
My hope is that, together, we will Engage, Excite and most importantly HAVE FUN. I’m proud to be serving with you in this Rotary year!  "WooWoo"!!
