Registration is now open on the district website (rotary6380.org) for the PET (President Elect Training) Orientations that are being held February 19, 2019 (in Southfield, Michigan); February 20, 2019 (in Chatham, Ontario); and  February 26, 2019 (in Brighton, Michigan).

If you are President Elect for your club (and becoming club president on July 1, 2019), attending one of these three PET Orientation sessions is required. Please select one of the sessions and register on line as soon as you can. We want to make appropriate food plans. These sessions are also available to President Nominees at their own option. A cost has not yet been determined (it will be minimal to cover the cost of food and will be collected that evening).

President Elects are also required to attend Great Lakes Rotary PETS on March 14-19 (www.greatlakesrotarypets.org) or make approved arrangements with DGE Sparky Leonard to attend a different PETS. President Elects, along with their other club officers, are also expected to attend District Officers Training (a.k.a. District Assembly) on April 13, 2019.

Current club presidents and club secretaries, as well as the current Assistant Governors, are also being copied on this email to enlist thaeir help at getting their club's President Elects registered for both a PET Orientation session and the Great Lakes Rotary PETS.  This is very important as only 27 of our distrct's club have listed a President Elect in ClubRunner (either the club or district site).

Thank you for all you do for Rotary and those we serve,

PDG Gerry Jackson and Brandon Marsh
Co-District Trainers.
