ROTARY and BURBERRY partner to change communities one young person at a time.

Rochester Rotary will be hosting a charity event at BURBERRY Somerset Collection in Troy Michigan ~ Saturday, November 17th from 6:30PM-8:30PM, to benefit PLAY FOR PEACE, our club’s joint international project in Nigeria Africa.
A percentage of the proceeds will be donated directly to our project. It’s the perfect time to start your holiday shopping and let your giving give twice!

PLAY FOR PEACE: This project aims to use street soccer the most popular sport in Nigeria as a vehicle to reach out to young people in conflict.

PLAY FOR PEACE: This project aims to use street soccer the most popular sport in Nigeria as a vehicle to reach out to young people in conflict. The idea is to broker peace and foster friendship among youth from all the water front communities in Port Harcourt Township. It seeks to take these youth away from the streets, creeks and criminality, through recreation and performance and help them transit to becoming responsible members of society and role models for other young persons.
This is a Rotary project led by two Rotarian women ~
