MESSAGE FROM THE DISTRICT GOVERNOR
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
Giving Tuesday is on tomorrow, December 3rd. As part of our Rotary Share efforts this year, I encourage every Rotarian in every Club to Do Good for our charitable organizations in metro Detroit. Please consider a small donation to one or several nonprofits who are supporting causes you care deeply about.
If you are unsure of who to give to, instead, find identify a cause that is meaningful to you. Use the Share Detroit filters. Or, donate directly to Share Detroit knowing that they support 480+ local nonprofits each and every day. Throughout the holidays and in the coming months, remember that Share Detroit is the place you go to give. You can find wish lists, attend an event or sign up to volunteer and make a cash donation to an organization that needs you.
As Rotarians, my hope is that each club finds add a new nonprofit to support in 2025. We can start now by doing research and finding a charity to support with small member gifts of $10, $20 or $25 on Giving Tuesday and through the holidays. In January and February, each club can discuss how to support a new nonprofit on the Share Detroit platform. Janette Phillips, Bloomfield Hills Rotarian and Executive Director of Share Detroit is available to attend a Rotary meeting in person or virtually to discuss all the ways Clubs can benefit by using the Share Detroit website.
